Dee & Alan Cruising the world on the sailing yacht SUNFLOWER from Sydney, Australia

Well the answer to that question is SPAM SPAM SPAM

People who overwhelm  the internet with SPAM (junk mail) need to keep up with a supply of active email addresses. One way to do this is to have automated programs that go around searching web sites and bulletin boards etc for email addresses.

I prefer not to be on SPAM lists so I do not write the actual email address on the web site. But I can write it so that an automated search would not recognise it as an email address.

So here are the addresses but you will need to remove all the spaces to make them work.

Text only email direct via  SSB radio to the boat:

                            sailmail        @         sunflowercruising.c      om

Normal land based email that you can send attachments and photos to:

                        deealan           @          sunflowercruising.c      om

Remove all the spaces.....

Sending Email to lots of people

Also on this subject, if you need to send an email to lots of people (for example and address change)        DO NOT put all the addresses in the To: field.

Most email programs have a BCC: address area (check in Options). This is the Blind Copy and all addresses in this field do not show on the received email.  If you have sent an email to all your friend's with your entire address book in the To: field and a SPAMer should some how get this email, you have just added all your friends to another SPAM list!!
